Okay. It's gotten to that point where it's actually impossible for me to have the motivation to wash my hair every day. Where does that leave me? With lots of dry shampoo. But what works the best? I've spent the money to be able to tell you these answers. I've tried Moroccan Oil, Garneir Fructis, psssst!, Living proof, and Elizabeth and James Nirvana White. After using these, I can tell you they're all VERY different.
First: Garneir Fructis. This one has its perks and its downsides, as most of them do. This one smells delicious, and like a shampoo rather than a perfume which is nice. However, it's functionality isn't the greatest. It's decent, but I wouldn't rely on it to use as alternative to washing your hair for several days because it doesn't quite get all the oils.
Second: psssst! This is apparently the first dry shampoo, and in my opinion the worst. The smell is bizarre, it's very chalky and leaves a lot of build-up without absorbing the oils you want it to.
Third: Living Proof. This has a rather androgynous scent and is good for what it claims it's good for: that quick touch up after the gym. It works great for a few hours but it dissipates and the oils return shortly after usage. I don't LOVE it, but I don't hate it either. I'll use if I need a little refresher.
Fourth: Elizabeth and James Nirvana White. This has a very strong androgynous perfume/cologne scent and works quite well in my opinion. If you don't want a strong smell I wouldn't recommend, but you can go to Sephora and test out the scent if you're on the fence. It's a bit on the pricier side for sure.
Lastly; Moroccan Oil. This is the best dry shampoo I have ever used. It leaves little to no residue leaving your hair light and full of volume. The smell is delicate and faint, and is perfect for spring and summer. They also have separate dry shampoos for brunette and blonde hair which is nice because it highlights the tones you're seeking! This one is amazing, and I've only found it online, so check it out here!
